Free with this week's issue is an invaluable guide to how the independent sector trades. The guide has been drawn up by The Grocer's sister company The Knowledge Store as part of a major exercise to reclassify the entire independent sector. The work has been carried out in conjunction with IGD, the Association of Convenience Stores, AC Nielsen and Taylor Nelson Sofres. The work was undertaken primarily to help suppliers understand the effect of convenience on the market and the importance of working more closely with independents.
