Kwik Save has replenished depleted stock levels at all 228 of its stores.

Last week, we reported that the retailer, which has been plagued by availability woes, was facing a gargantuan task to restock all of its stores by the weekend.

All stores visited by The Grocer's mystery shoppers a few days earlier were operating with perilously low levels of goods. However, spot checks carried out at the same stores this week revealed full shelves and near perfect availability.

One shopper in the Cheshire area reported long queues at checkouts. A large banner, complete with the retailer's new logo, read: 'Kwik Save is now fully stocked. Come in and look around!'

However, the retailer still faces issues with employee morale, following news it is to lay off large numbers of staff. One angry store manager told us he had been forced to sack 50% of the staff in his store.
