Thresher Group has more than doubled the number of stores it is selling as part of a wide-reaching review of its business.
The off-licence specialist revealed in March it was planning to sell as many as 200 stores and instructed property agent Christie & Co to sell 45 off-licences across the UK. This number has increased to more than 100.
The market was very good, Christie & Co director Allen Shepherd said, and there was interest in 80 of the sites. Many would be sold as off-licences but others would be sold for alternative use such as convenience stores, he added. Stores were being put up for sale on a monthly basis.
