The deadline for entering The Grocer's new Branded Excellence Awards is just days away.

With 19 categories, the awards reward NPD,

innovation and taste

created by brands in the £128bn UK grocery sector.

The 'Brandies', sponsored by SHS Sales & Marketing, is a sister event to The Grocer's Own-Label Awards, and shares the same two-step judging process.

All entries are subjected to consumer panel testing and entrants get feedback on their performance. A shortlist is then created and finalists are judged by food experts. Winners will be announced at a hotel in London in February 2008.
