Sir; All this talk about government support for our hard-pressed food and drink exporters sets me wondering whether the beleaguered companies should emulate the farmers and take to the streets. The Labour Party conference is in Brighton at the end of the month and, while there will undoubtedly be many other protests, perhaps the food exporters should march, banners to the fore, down the promenade.
