Convenience and CTN operator TM Retail is preparing to unveil “the largest retail magazine subscription scheme ever launched”.

Trading director Paul Baxter said the “magazines at home service” would be made available from 1,000 TM Retail stores in four weeks time.

Customers will be able to choose from 3,500 magazine titles from a catalogue in all stores.

They can then place their orders in store or on a freephone number.

Magazines can be delivered to their homes or put to one side in store, said Baxter.

TM Retail operates approximately 1,200 CTN and convenience stores under its McColls, Martin’s, Forbouys and RS McColl fascias.

It already delivers newspapers to over 300,000 of its customers, including those at its six Somerfield Martin’s pilot stores.

Baxter said TM Retail aimed to have the most authoritative news and magazine offer of any UK retailer.
