Tobacco wholesalers will not be allowed to display tobacco advertisements inside depots when the Tobacco Advertising and Promotions Bill becomes law. Alan Toft, director general of the Federation of Wholesale Distributors, has been advised by the Department of Health that notices of price may be displayed in depots, but they must not contain any other "information, artwork, colour or indication which could be taken to promote a tobacco product". The DoH said promotional messages could only be directed to those " in a position to determine what tobacco products their business trades in". The Bill is likely to be debated in Parliament after the summer recess. {{NEWS }}
