Stewart Gilliland, regional president of Interbrew UK and Ireland, has been promoted to an overseas post and is being replaced by Steve Cahillane.
The development follows a review and reorganisation of Interbrew's global senior management team. The company said the changes had been made to boost growth, improve operations and allow greater focus on strategic acquisitions.
Gilliland moves to become Zone President for Canada, based in Toronto. He will be responsible for driving growth of the Canadian business, including its Labatt brands. He takes up his post on September 1.
Cahillane joins Interbrew UK from Labatt USA, where he was president of the Interbrew USA unit for the last two years.
Gilliland said Interbrew UK would aim to maintain its commitment to brands, people and customers, adding: "Cahillane will add a lot of value to business with his knowledge, experience and excellent track record."
