Scotland's new "food Tsar" is to work with retailers and suppliers to prepare a high profile campaign to improve Scottish eating habits. Food and health co-ordinator Gillian Kynoch said: "We are planning a big and long-term national advertising campaign, partly funded by private sector partners." She said small retailers would be asked to help by merchandising foods together as meals rather than in categories, and by boosting their fresh food offer. Kynoch said: "We want to work for the benefit of low income groups who may only have access to the local shop. We are engaging with the Scottish Grocer's Federation to develop an action plan." {{NEWS }}
