European convenience foods group Uniq has warned that its results for the current financial year will be broadly in line with the lower end of market expectations.

In a trading statement, Uniq said that it would meet lower end expectations when it announces its results in June, because of current weakness in Northern Europe and the stage of its recovery in the UK.

It added that a restructuring of its UK business had resulted in price increases in some product categories and advanced price negotiations in others.
