Hilton Food Group has issued an upbeat forecast for the remainder of 2010, with the meat packer hailing “encouraging sales trends” across western Europe.
“There are signs that a number of economies are emerging from the recession,” the group said. “Our business in Holland has also benefited from the first year of spreadable meats production.”
The group said it has notched up double-digit volume growth in central Europe, aided by its launch in Estonia.
“Overall, we are encouraged by our start to the current financial year [and] will continue to explore opportunities to grow the business in both domestic and overseas markets,” Hilton reported.
