Burton's Foods is extending its biscuit range with a special edition version of its enduring Viscount brand. Viscount Dark rolls out at the end of this month, aiming to catch the eye of consumers with a new look on shelf. Burton's enlisted the help of The Design Group for the makeover, the brief being to create something which was both "alluring" on the shelf and which reflected the "indulgent and luxurious" nature of the special edition treat. The result is a silky dark green pack with minimum text and foil wrapping. Paula O'Hare, brand manager at Burton's, said: "Viscount is a popular and trusted brand and we wanted to create a special edition pack design to communicate a new addition to the range while retaining maximum consumer appeal among the crowded biscuit category.
