Luxury goods firm LVMH, which makes Fendi branded handbags, wallets and key chains, has accused Wal-Mart of selling fake Fendi products in its US warehouse chain Sam's Club.

The group is suing Wal-Mart, seeking damages, and wants the fake goods destroyed. In one example, it claims that a Sam's Club store in Las Vegas is selling one of its handbags for $295.03, compared with a recommended retail price of $925.

Wal-Mart has not commented on the case.
