Wal-Mart has added a new collection to its George clothing range in the US aimed at career women.

The retail giant said the new ladieswear collection has been introduced in all Wal-Mart discount stores and supercentres Stateside, and features “quality basics” with prices ranging from $11.96 to $26.96.

The George brand first rolled out in more than 16,000 Wal-Mart ladieswear departments last autumn, while the menswear selection of George clothing was introduced last December.

Senior vice president Celia Clancy said: “The George brand has had phenomenal success providing department store fashion at incredible savings to our European Asda customers. We are very excited to offer our US customers this new range.”
