Kerry Foods is stretching its Wall's sausage brand into a new format next month with the launch of Wall's Balls.
Support for the new bite-sized balls of sausage meat in crumb coating, positioned as teatime treats for kids, will account for over half of the brand's £4.1m marketing budget this year.
The remainder will back Wall's 2002 launch Micro-Sausages and will cover press ads, posters and sampling across the brand's fresh sausage and bacon ranges.
Balls' TV campaign starts on Feb 10, followed by half-term cinema ads during family films, on-pack offers, online marketing, summer roadshow activity and PoS. Rsp for the newcomer will be £1.59 for a 300g, 15-ball pack.
