The catering sector is being targeted for the second year running by the Bramley Campaign Group.
The New Ways with Bramley competition has been launched again to reward excellence in catering schools and colleges.
Enterprising students are being given the chance to create an innovative Bramley recipe and win a cash prize of £1,000.
Ian Mitchell, chairman of the Bramley Campaign, said: “The competition is an excellent opportunity for catering students to demonstrate their culinary skills using the nation’s favourite cooking apple.
“We were delighted with the high standard of entries last year and look forward to another exciting competition in 2004.”
