Two weekend newspapers, The Observer and the Weekend FT, increase their coverprice this weekend. The Observer will rise from £1.10 to £1.20 from Sunday. Retail margins will increase on a pro rata basis from the current 27.5p a copy to 30p. Bob Steadman, general circulation manager at Guardian Newspapers, said: "The Observer is the fastest growing Sunday title. Retailers have played a critical role in helping us achieve this success and we are pleased to be able to increase retail margins in line with the price rise." The cover price of the Weekend FT will increase from 90p to £1 from today (Saturday), with the retail margin increasing pro-rata to 23.75p per copy. {{CTN }}
