The latest in a series of provocative ads for the premium packaged spirit WKD features a football club groundsman whose line markings show he has other things on his mind. The posters, which feature Nottingham Forest's City Ground, are part of this year's £12.5m Have You Got a WKD Side campaign which includes TV, radio and press advertising. The brand, distributed by Beverage Brands, is one of the leading players in the premium packaged spirits market, which is worth £1bn and is still growing at 42% a year in value. Marketing manager Karen Salters said: "This growth cannot continue at the same rate, because the value is becoming immense." She said multiples were helping to drive down prices in the sector, but most had steered clear of me-too products which trade off a lower price and lower strength. {{DRINKS }}
