Beverage Brands is moving away from its trademark brightly-coloured pps drinks with the launch of a clear WKD variant.
Silver will absorb £2m of the company's £20m total investment in the WKD portfolio, which will fund a series of TV and magazine ads.
Beverage Brands says the 5.5% abv blend is aimed at lager drinkers and will help grow the pps category rather than steal market share from competitors.
Marketing manager Karen Salters said: "WKD always seeks to do something different and many within the trade predicted a WKD Red or Green."
