Tooronga, Australia: Coles Group has set a deadline of 25 June for interested parties to submit their bids for the supermarket group. It also confirmed Australian conglomerate Wesfarmers had been given access to its books for due diligence yesterday (25 May). Earlier this month Coles gave private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts exclusive access to its books for two weeks. Meanwhile, Coles has reported a 0.6% increase in third-quarter sales to A$8.4bn (£3.5bn). Food and liquor sales rose 3.2% during the period.
