Laurus sells to Jumbo

Amersfoort, The Netherlands: Supermarket group Laurus has sold 15 stores to rival chain Jumbo Supermarkets in a €16m (£10.8m) deal that is subject to approval from the Netherlands Competition Authority. The stores will be gradually transferred to Jumbo over the next six months. The sell-off is part of Laurus' previously announced plan to sell 50 of its loss-making Super de Boer supermarkets. The sale of the remaining locations was ongoing, the group said.
