Sales recover at Tyson Foods

Springdale, Arkansas: Meat processor Tyson Foods has reported third-quarter net profit of $111m (£54.6m) compared with a net loss of $52m (£25.6m) the year before. Sales rose 9.4% to $7bn (£3.4bn) during the quarter. The figures were boosted by sales increases across its beef, chicken, pork and prepared foods businesses, although volumes were hit by price increases, the company said.
