Bass Brewers is launching a value, canned variant of its bestselling Worthington bitter. Worthington Classic hits shelves at the end of this month with Bass claiming its latest offering reflects its commitment to the £500m off-trade. It said the 3.8% abv, non-widget, carbonated beer was a "smooth and easy to drink bitter" brewed at its home in Burton. Cans will be sold individually and in multipacks of four, 12 and 24. John Holberry, sales director for Bass Take Home, said: "With over 70% of the ale market accounted for by non-widget ale, it's important to meet conusmers' needs." {{DRINKS }}
