Total Greek Yoghurt is making an Olympic leap into its first run of TV advertising.
Screening on satellite and cable network UK TV until the end of this month, the tongue-in-cheek ad coincides with the start of the Olympics in Greece and features a Greek god-like chef cooking with Total products. It is the brand’s first TV ad run in its 25-year history and showcases recipes from the brand’s ‘Contemporary Greek Classics’ collection which was created by chef Paul Wharrier.
The 60-second treatment will be shown three times a day.
Total’s commercial director, Nigel Amos, said: “This television campaign marks a significant step forward in our marketing strategy. We are experiencing a surge of interest in Greek culture and cuisine this summer and this provides us with a fantastic opportunity to take a more adventurous approach.”
