An Argentinian wine producer is bringing to the UK a wine created to honour a grape grower who died at the age of 104.

Trapiche named Tributo Felipe Villafane Malbec 2003 after the winemaker who helped source fruit for its premium wines from his vineyard even when he reached the age of 100. "Seeing wine from his grapes bottled under his own name fulfilled a lifelong ambition for him and he was thrilled when it won Best Argentinian Red at the IWC in 2005," said chief winemaker Daniel Pi. "This is our tribute to his hard work and dedication."

The wine has been given a longer ageing process than usual. It will retail at £19.99.
