A wine that takes its name from the two oceans that converge at South Africa's Cape is extending its portfolio with two dual varietals.

Two Oceans, part of distributor Percy Fox's portfolio, will introduce the Colombard Chardonnay and Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon varietals at this year's annual Wines of South Africa tasting event for the wine trade in October. The white is made from 70% Colombard and 30% Chardonnay grapes, while the red is a dark red medium-bodied wine.

All grapes are sourced from Stellenbosch, Worcester, Robertson, Malmesbury, Wellington and Paarl. Both will be priced at £4.49.

Brand manager Caroline Stranders said: "Two Oceans is currently enjoying volume growth, despite a number of branded wines from South Africa being in sales decline.

"The new dual varietals provide consumers with high quality yet casual, easy-drinking wines that encapsulate the spirit of the Cape region."
