Douwe Egberts has unveiled an instant coffee range designed to appeal to different consumer moods as well as tastes.

The Inspirations range is rolling out to Sainsbury's now and comes in Brazilian Samba, Kenyan Sunset and Eastern Escape variants (rsp: £3.59/95g).

It would "fulfil a specific mood", said Kerry Owens, Douwe Egberts marketing director, adding that it was "the first mood-based freeze-dried instant coffee in the UK".

The range will benefit from a £4m brand-wide marketing spend this year.
