Unilever has revealed that it has decided to sell its European frozen foods business.

The sale, which includes brands such as Birds Eye and Iglo, does not include its frozen foods business in Italy.

Parties said to be interested in the business include Capvest, the owners of Young’s Bluecrest, which last week acquired the Findus brand in Sweden, Norway, France and Thailand.

Meanwhile, Unilever revealed an increase in full-year pre-tax profit to E4.75bn from E3.7bn on sales up 3.1% to E39.7bn.
