Stewart McInally has replaced Marc Dubery as the UK business unit director for Asda at Unilever UK.
McInally will be responsible for driving sales of Unilever brands such as Flora margarine, Hellmann’s mayonnaise and Slim Fast at the multiple.
After a brief stint in marketing for Shell Oils, he joined Unilever UK almost 20 years ago, working in various customer management roles.
Originally managing wholesale and independent customers, he went on to work with several multiple retailers before joining the Asda/Wal-Mart team four years ago. He was appointed Unilever Bestfoods UK customer director for Asda/Wal-Mart in 2002.
He said: “I look forward to leading the Unilever customer management team and ensuring our business unit aligns with Asda/Wal-Mart.
Dubery left the company to become Warburtons’ sales director in December (The Grocer, December 6, p16).
