If Pepsi is forced to sell non carbonated energy drink All Sport to get its $13.4bn acquisition of Quaker past the regulators, there won't be a throng of candidates queuing up to buy, said analysts. Speculation about a sale was sparked by news reports that Cadbury Schweppes was considering an $88m bid for the brand. Cadbury (which owns Dr Pepper and SevenUp in the US) refused to comment on the speculation, but analysts questioned the appeal of a brand that has just 3% of a market dominated by Gatorade. "This is not a little gem in Pepsi's crown by any stretch of the imagination," said one analyst. "All Sport is a consistent performer, but it's not growing its market share." {{NEWS }}
