A sparkling wine from the Pacific Northwest of the US has been launched in the UK by Pernod Ricard. The non-vintage Domaine Ste Michelle (rsp: £9.99) is from the company's Stimson Lane vineyard in Washington State. It is produced by the same method as Champagne and is on the same geographical latitude as the Champagne region. Marketing director Sophie Gallois said: "This is an outstanding wine with a fantastic reputation in the US, where it is the only US sparkling wine growing in a declining market." {{DRINKS }}
