Californian winemaker Fetzer has boosted the organic credentials of its Bonterra brand by passing the stringent Soil Association tests. This will make Bonterra the first major wine brand to carry the Soil Association logo on its labels. The vineyard has been making wine from organically grown grapes since 1993 when it won accreditation from the California Certified Organic Farmers. Fetzer's European marketing director Simon Legge, said: "We regard the Soil Association as the gold standard of credible organic certifiers." {{DRINKS }}
