Brewer Fuller Smith & Turner has reported an increase in volumes in its Fuller's Beer Company division for the 16 weeks to 21 July.
It was still too early to identify whether the smoking ban in England, which came into force this month, had affected sales, although a greater influence had been the variable weather, the brewer added in a trading statement ahead of its agm later today.
Anthony Fuller, chairman of Fuller Smith & Turner, who steps down from the role at today's agm, added: “The board is confident of the prospects for the continuing success of the group."
