Waitrose MD Mark Price has been appointed deputy chairman of Channel 4 – just days after he was named deputy chairman of John Lewis Partnership.
Price has been a non-executive member of the Channel 4 board since October 2010 and is appointed to the new role for a three-year term.
He takes over from Lord Hall, who stepped down to become the director general of the BBC last November.
“I am pleased to welcome Mark to the role of deputy chair of the Channel 4 Board. He has been an excellent member of the board for the past three years and is well equipped for this important role,” said Channel 4 chairman Lord Burns.
On Friday, Price was also appointed as deputy chairman of John Lewis Partnership – replacing former investment banker David Barclay.
He will take up the new positions on top of his role as MD of Waitrose.
