There is growing appetite for Welsh-branded produce across the UK, organisers of the Wales the True Taste Awards have claimed.

Wales was no longer only associated with lamb, but was increasingly celebrated for its fish and other fresh products, said food and market development director Wynfford James.

This year's awards will take place on 19 November in Abergavenny, with organisers planning to focus on getting Welsh listings in England and Scotland. The shift in focus follows the Welsh Assembly's launch of Local Sourcing and Food Tourism action plans earlier this year.
