Heinz has promoted Amanda Walker to marketing director of its UK frozen and chilled division.

Walker has worked at Heinz for two and a half years. In her previous position as head of marketing for desserts and potatoes, she played a key role in driving the success of the Aunt Bessie's range, as well as WeightWatchers from Heinz desserts. She will now be responsible for leading all marketing efforts across the division's UK frozen and chilled business.

John Garnett, managing director of Heinz European Frozen and Chilled, said: "Amanda has played a pivotal role in driving the growth of WeightWatchers from Heinz this year and in establishing Aunt Bessie's as the fastest growing brand in frozen potatoes."
