PepsiCo has reported a “terrific third quarter” as worldwide volume of its soft drinks and salty snacks rose 5%.
The maker of Pepsi and Doritos said international snacks volume jumped 10% lead by Walkers snacks in the UK.
Volumes at Frito-Lay North America rose 4% helped by double-digit growth from the new Twisted Cheeto’s snack and the introduction of organic products earlier in the year.
Chief executive Steve Reinemund said turnover for the 12 weeks to June 9 rose to $6.8bn form $6.3bn, while pre-tax profit was up to $1.56bn from $1.39bn.
