Walkers continues to rule the roost in the brand share chart. However, Nestlé closes the gap, reducing Walkers’ lead from five percentage points to less than three.
The continued success of Walkers is due in some part to the wide variety of offers available, which include price promotions, extra-fill offers and buy-one-get-one-free promotions.
In conjunction with this, good use is also being made of gondola end displays.
Coca-Cola, Heinz and Müller all move up the chart, while Kellogg’s, Princes and Cadbury lose ground. Coca-Cola predominantly uses the multibuy promotion and buy-one-get-one-free offer with displays on gondola ends, side stacks, floor stacks and other off fixtures.
There are just two new entries in the brand chart - Fanta, the highest new entry, and Colgate, which just slips in at number 10.
Colgate has a plethora of buy-one-get-one-free offers while Fanta also uses the price promotion and multibuy offers.
