While the category chart remains stable in terms of positioning, the brand chart is completely changed as Walkers takes the lead, moving just ahead of Nestlé.
Walkers features a glut of promotions utilising a wide range of promotional mechanics, including buy-one-get-free offers, price promotions, extra-fill offers and multibuy promotions. Feature displays on gondola ends and floor stacks ensure that the brand is unbeaten this week.
Cadbury makes quite a leap, moving up from number seven to third place, closely followed by Müller, which stands less than one percentage point behind. Further down the chart, Kellogg’s and McVitie’s both improve their position by moving up one place, with Kellogg’s threatening Coca-Cola, which sits just ahead in the chart.
The only new entry this week is Robinsons, which comes back into the chart after an absence of just one week. Robinsons makes good use of feature displays on gondola ends and side stacks to highlight the promotions.
