A snack food company that officially started up only a year ago has won a listing in more than 2,000 branches of Tesco.
Well&Truly was incorporated in February 2015 by sisters-in-law Sara and Maria Trechman, to offer healthier alternatives to popular snacks. Its debut offering will be Well&Truly Tortilla Chips, which are gluten free and claim to have 40% less fat than rival products on average.
Designed to encourage consumers to make small, health-conscious changes to eating habits, the chips - which contain only natural ingredients - will be available in 125g packs (rsp: £1.69) in the free-from aisles of more than 2,000 Tesco stores throughout the UK from 15 February. “Our launch in Tesco marks an exciting step for Well&Truly, giving us immediate national reach,” said Sara Trechman, whose company is planning range extensions for later in the year.
“Whether gluten free for medical reasons, or simply as a lifestyle choice, we believe greater choice in the aisles will enable consumers to fulfil their healthy eating ambitions.”
