Healthy mixes brand Whitworths is launching its first adult snacking range to replicate the success of its kids' products.

The Nibl range consists of four fruit, nut and chocolate mixes in 45g and 200g bags, priced 69p and £2.79 respectively. It rolls into Waitrose in mid-June and would plug a gap for a snack that "combines taste, health and indulgence", said senior product manager Esther Laycock-Smith.

The adult healthy snacking category has fallen 8.4% year-on-year by value, while sales of kids' healthy snacks have risen 10% [IRI 52w/e 18 April 2009].
