Booths has delayed plans to relaunch its Booths Cellar online alcohol offer.

The northern supermarket chain had originally planned to revamp the service this month, but John Gill, head of ambient buying and support, told The Grocer this had now been put back until January.

Booths saw online as increasingly important for BWS, he said. “We will relaunch Booths Cellar and we are adding the functionality of being able to reserve and collect from one of our branches.”

Wine buyer Victoria Anderson also revealed Booths was considering rolling out the 64-bottle wine tasting unit introduced last October in its store in Knutsford.
