JJ Food Service has invested £5.6m in a new depot in Leeds.

The 37,500 sq ft site in Middleton Grove, Morley, will start trading in June and will be JJ’s eighth site. JJ said the location offered easy access from the city centre, which would enable local businesses to take advantage of the discounts it offered to customers who collect.

The move would also lead to fuel savings on contracts with Leeds and Staffordshire County Councils, which JJ currently serves from its Manchester and Doncaster depots.

JJ Food Service opened its seventh depot, in Bristol, in November and continues to hunt for properties anywhere with a population over 100,000.
