E-commerce sales at Hancocks have soared 71% year on year following a site relaunch in February.
The confectionery wholesaler, which operates 20 C&Cs, said it was already vastly ahead of its 2014 sales target thanks to online-exclusive promotions and a surge in customer numbers. It added it also expected a significant online sales boost this Christmas.
“We had set a target of 45% growth for 2014, but we are already running at 71% with the Christmas season still ahead of us,” said chief executive Mark Watson. “Business is very buoyant online and we are committed to developing the website and the service as much as we can.”
