Andrew Ramsden has been reappointed CEO of DBC Foodservice after a two-year absence.
Ramsden was CEO from 2007 to 2010. During that period he helped the business to recover from its failed merger with Woodward Foodservice. Ramsden sold Woodward to Brakes and led DBC to its best financial results in its 110-year history, in the year to March 2009. In its latest results for the year to March 2011, DBC reported a £4.95m loss.
The company said it had reappointed Ramsden as it embarked on its next stage of development. “DBC has made a number of senior hires in the past year, most recently with Simon King as its new buying and marketing director,” Ramsden said.
