Duo beefs up country coverage
NEW YORK: PepsiCo and Unilever have added 11 countries to their international partnership covering the marketing and distribution of Unilever's Lipton ready-to-drink tea products. The joint venture, formed in 2003, now covers 51 countries. It was extended to the new markets after enjoying "strong double-digit volume growth" in countries it already operates. The extension includes eight European countries - Germany, Italy, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium and Portugal - and Korea, Taiwan and South Africa. The arrangement is expected to be effective from 2008.
