The Yazoo milkshake brand is taking a further step down the healthy path with a new recipe and packaging to highlight its natural credentials. Yazoo, which is manufactured by Dutch dairy giant Campina, will now include real fruit juice for the first time in its strawberry and banana flavours.

The new formula, which will go on sale from November, is being rolled out across the whole portfolio of Yazoo children’s, adult and family products. Campina will also introduce a 300ml format aimed at the on-the-go market.

“Customer perceptions about health continually move forward and it is important for us to be at the forefront of these changes,” said Campina UK MD John Lee. “By moving to a combination of natural flavours and real fruit juice we have raised the standard once again and can help retailers add that all-important ‘healthier’ dimension to their soft drinks offering at a sensible price.”
