Yeo Valley is revamping its ice cream and frozen yoghurt portfolio with a view to trebling sales to £1.5m within the next year.

The organic dairy producer whose consumer awareness rocketed after its 'rapping farmers' TV ad aired last year is introducing recyclable, more ergonomic packaging. A new variant Greek style frozen yoghurt with a swirl of golden honey will join Yeo's existing two variants strawberry frozen yoghurt, and Madagascan vanilla ice cream. Pack sizes have been reduced from one litre to 900ml, but the rsp will remain at £3.79.

The relaunch would tap into the growth of the frozen yoghurt category which was increasing by more than 19% every year as consumers sought out indulgent treats lower in fat, said Ben Cull, head of brand marketing. "This demand for frozen yoghurt is set to grow."

The products will roll into stores from 1 March.
