Robert Wiseman is pressing ahead with plans to increase milk capacity after new contract wins.

The fresh milk specialist reported sales volumes up 8.5% year-on-year in the first three months of the new financial year. The company began a new contract with The Co-operative Group early, following the collapse of Dairy Farmers of Britain, and also started supplying Spar wholesalers Cappers and Blakemore in June.

Capacity at the Bridgwater super-dairy will be increased from 250 million litres a year to 375 million litres by early next year.
