KP Snacks has launched a sharing bag range containing peanuts and Hula Hoops alongside tortillas, corn strips and multigrain crisps.

KP Snackers come in salted, salt & vinegar and spicy chilli flavours (rsp £1.99/160g) and are rolling out to retailers shortly.

KP is the biggest nut brand in the UK but faces growing competition from Walkers. A year after launch, Walkers Sensations nuts have become the second-biggest brand, worth £6.7m [IRI w/e 2 Feb 2013]. Walkers followed it up this year with the mainstream TigerNuts range.

Price hikes have helped to grow value sales of KP Nuts by 3.6% to £44.2m, but volumes have fallen 11.3% [IRI].
